Description
From Roll to Print — Do It Yourself.
In this workshop you’ll experience the full analog process — from developing your own film to making your first darkroom prints. Step by step, we’ll guide you through the entire workflow so that you can confidently continue working on your own at home.
In the first part of the workshop, you’ll learn how to develop your own black & white film. We’ll cover everything from handling the film in complete darkness, to mixing and using chemistry, to drying and archiving your negatives. By the end of this section, you’ll not only understand the process, but also be able to repeat it independently with your own rolls.
The second part of the workshop takes place in the darkroom. Here you’ll work directly with your freshly developed film: making contact sheets, experimenting with enlargements, and learning how to control contrast and exposure under the enlarger. You’ll create your own prints and get a hands-on understanding of the creative possibilities of analog photography.
No prior experience is needed — just bring an exposed roll of black & white film and your curiosity. After this workshop, you’ll leave not only with your own negatives and prints in hand, but also with the knowledge and confidence to develop and print your films at home.
All materials included.
