Polaroid photography is chemistry, chance, and destruction — and in this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore it all. An immersive afternoon dedicated entirely to the creative manipulation of instant photographs.

Together with instant photography artist Michael Laubsch, you’ll dive deep into techniques that transform Polaroids into one-of-a-kind artworks using water, tools, and household chemistry. After a short introduction to Polaroid film stocks, we head out shooting scenic Vienna — and back in the studio, we explore cutting, lifting, extracting, and reshaping, including the rare technique of transferring film onto paper.

Expect experimentation, discovery, and a beautifully controlled sense of chaos.

Gemeinsam mit Sofortbildkünstler Michael Laubsch tauchst du tief in Techniken ein, die Polaroids mit Wasser, Werkzeug und Haushaltschemie in Unikate verwandeln. Nach einer kurzen Einführung in Polaroid-Filmmaterialien geht’s raus zum Fotografieren im schönen Wien — und zurück im Studio wartet das Schneiden, Abheben, Extrahieren und Umformen auf euch, inklusive der seltenen Technik der Filmübertragung auf Papier.
